中学英語 比較級、最上級

【解説】 形容詞には「より〜」という意味を表す比較級という形があり、「･･･　よりも　〜」であるという意味を表す。ふつう、〜er の形。difficult, beautiful など2音節以上の長いつづりのとき　more 〜の形になり、〜er　はつけない。 比較級 + than･･･　の形 　例文1：Joe　is taller than Ken. (ジョーは健よりも背が高い。） 　 　例文2：This picture is more beautiful than that one.（この絵はあの絵より美しい） 形容詞には、比較級のほかに「いちばん〜」という意味を表す最上級という形がある。 最上級はその前に the をつけて使う。ふつう、〜est　の形になる。2音節以上の長いつづりのときmost　〜の形になり、〜est　はつけない。 the ＋　最上級 　の形 　例文3：Joe is the tallest in the class. (ジョーはクラスの中で一番背が高い。) 　例文4：This picture is the most beautiful of all.（この絵はすべての中でいちばん美しい）
